Introduction

The prito tool is a product and project management tool that helps its users to think effectively and prioritise faster. With Prito, the goal is to help users adopt different prioritisation framework/method for their usecase while leveraging on the influence of its AI’s influence.

In a more defined way, Prito has its focus on:

  • Offering product-led assistance in choosing/adopting different prioritisation frameworks.

  • Solidifying the processes involved in product development

  • Enhancing decision making by offering easy adoption of prioritisation framework while leveraging on AI.

Why is prito important

The need for faster product development is growing rapidly and the major focus is on leveraging on systems and solutions to automate part of these process. Prito aims to be a part of this process thereby creating solutions that makes product design and development process faster.

Understanding our why helped the team create a first iteration of Prito's USP.

Who we are building for

The potential application and adoption of Prito is virtually limitless, largely owing to the universal necessity of decision-making across all industries and teams. Nevertheless, we've refined our user base to enhance the rate of iteration and prioritisation, keeping in mind potentially broadening our user reach.

Consequently, we're actively building Prito: designed for Product Teams and primarily for Individuals, particularly entrepreneurs.

Leveraging on competitive analysis to build, learn and iterate faster

In our research for competitors, we made sure to divide our findings into two groups:

Direct - Products that offers prioritisation features too our target audience

Indirect - Products that offers other features (outside prioritisation) to the same target audience as ours.

Output and Lesson(s) Gained

Learning that prito's initial USP was not properly identified. With this understanding, we had another go at defining our USP by leveraging on the strengths and weaknesses of our competitors.

Unique Selling Point (Re-defined)

For Product Teams and Individuals, The Prito Tool is the tool that focus on the implementation of basic prioritisation frameworks while adding AI functionalities for results analysis and recommendations that can be followed and adopted easily.

Structuring prito's userflow

What you are seeing now has changed over time. Infact, some bits of this are still subject to change.

The impact of prito's userflow

The user flow provided some sort of roadmap on what we needed to build. With the userflow, we were able to not only define screens but also iterate by asking the question "Are we building the prito the right way? "

What we have built so far

Under the banner of innovation, design and development is still ongoing but at the time of this documentation, the following flows and screens have been designed.

#1: User Onboarding

Simplicity and ease of adoption and understanding was prioritised in the design of prito's onboarding flow and this was done so as to enable its users get onboarded easily.

#2: Workspace

Prito's workspace was tailored to match existing products while visualising the scores generated form existing projects.

#3: Project Page - Prioritisation & Kanban Boards

The project space allows for collaboration amidst other interesting features while maintaining a structured approach to the prioritisation and management of the products and its process.

#4: AI Report and Recommendations

The Ai Flow helps with decision-making by combining human intuition with AI-driven insights. The information produced are gotten from informations shared by users in a project.

Conclusion

We are still learning and iterating. I bet there will be a part II of this documentation. Great work by my fellow designer Aderiye Akangbe.
